Thanksgiving Meal Prices Rise Highly

thanksgiving meal, thanksgiving meal costs

A Thanksgiving meal is still enough a bargain at less than $5 per person in 2012. A family can expect to pay $49.48 this year to purchase a classic Thanksgiving meal for ten people according to some agencies in America, a $0.28 increase from 2011. The less than 1% improving is much less than the one in 2011 when there was a increase meal prices.

The calculated prices for the food were for all the typical ingredients needed for a classic Thanksgiving dinner for ten. These ingredients include a 16 lb turkey with stuffing and basic trimmings, pumpkin pie and cranberries.

The price reflects what the average shopper looking for the best deals could find without resorting to using grocery coupons or store promotional sales such as spending $75 to get a free turkey. There were 155  volunteer shoppers in 35 states who participated by searching for the best prices in their area. Their totals were averaged together to come up with the total meal price. While not scientific, this ongoing study gives an informal gauge of Thanksgiving price trends across the U.S.

With the largest cost of the Thanksgiving meal being the turkey at $22.23, savvy shoppers willing to look for promotional deals such as finding free turkeys, or waiting until the last minute when prices typical fall, can greatly reduce the overall expense of the meal. For those who aren't willing to put in the time it takes to actually cook a full Thanksgiving meal from scratch, the ABBA notes that there are a large number of grocery stores and restaurants which offer a ready-made Thanksgiving meal in the $50 to $75 range. While slightly more expensive than cooking the meal yourself, the time savings can be well worth it for many.

The 5 Best Ways To Pratice Positive Rebelion

Practice Positive Rebelion

When you think of rebellion, do images of leather jackets, motorcycles, illegal drugs, or even violence come to mind? Maybe you think of rebel without a cause, someone who is on the path of self-destruction?

rebel-chick-mystics-guide What if rebellion could be a positive thing? What if you used it in personal development to write your own rules for living? These are the ideas I explore in my book, A Rebel Chick Mystic’s The book is a self-help book for brave, misfit women (or for those who aspire to be).

The following of The 5 best methods to practice positive rebellion in your own life:

1. Reject the mass media’s version of reality. The popular media often brings messages of materialism, violence, competition, greed, chaos, and doom. Rebel against this very, one-sided, limited view of the world. Don’t buy into it! Instead, focus on what is right in your own life. Trust me, so much of your life is good. If you’re reading this, chances are, you at least have computer access. I’ll bet that you also have a roof over your head, clothing, food, clean water, and at least one person who loves you.

ng behaviors. It’s releasing the negative associations in your mind and heart, so that you can feel lighter and more peaceful. You don’t even have to directly forgive the person. Just let go in your mind. It’s a process, so  your forgiveness may not happen overnight.

4. Stop trying so hard to please everyone. Women especially are socialized to take care of  everyone else’s needs. I describe my own journey of letting go of my inner good girl and June Cleaver. It’s important to set some boundaries with love. In my book, I have readers make a list of their personal and professional needs, along with making an action plan to get these needs met. Something seemingly simple as asserting the need to have 10-15 minutes of quiet time can cause some people to have anxiety. Taking care of yourself is not selfish, but it may take some time for loved ones to adapt. Be rebellious and do it anyway before stress affects your physical body. It’s okay to say, “I’d love to help you, but not at this time.”

5. Shift your “crap-itude.” Crap-itude is a term I use in my book to describe having a crappy attitude. Having a positive mental attitude and happiness are closely related. If you focus on what is wrong in your own life and in the world, happiness will elude you.  Rebel against your inner crap. Some days, you may even have to fake it until you make it. Reject the negativity of the past in your mind, ditch your inner critics, and stop worrying about the future.

Therefore what do you think about article on above????? Is it benefical to your life? Or do you have any suggestion to comment?
